The Perks of Studying in Philadelphia

Last week my class had the opportunity to meet with the park architect, Charles Tonetti, for a tour of the Independence Hall Tower. We were given special access to the upper floors of the Tower and reviewed both William Strickland’s 1828 work and more recent┬árenovations. It was a wonderful experience seeing historic wood beams and trusses intermixed with iron trusses and witnessing the clock strike 3! Check out the video here.
